Hi,
My wife and I just got our first basset hound puppy, he is 13 weeks old and doing well with training and eating. Recently his right ear curled up at the very bottom about an inch or so. The other ear lays out straight and floppy like I would think is normal. Has anyone ever heard of a random ear curling up like this?

Bassets should have an inward curl according to the official Breed Standard, but curled up at the bottom - never seen that, sorry.

"Ears

Set on low, just below line of eye. Long; reaching only slightly beyond end of muzzle of correct length, but not excessively so. Narrow throughout their length and curling well inwards; very supple, fine and velvety in texture" Basset Hound UK KC Breed Standard. The AKC Breed Standard varies, but in essence, is the same.
