 Oh I guess I better get a move on! I am so unprepared for Christmas. I hope to get a good picture of José this week (easier said than done) & get some cards made. I've made then on my computer in years past but this year I might just have to let the pro's do it! Wish me luck. José won't know what hit him when the phot session begins! :p

:D Going to the mail box today was a real treat. We got our first Basset cards. Murray, Ruby, Abbie and Elmo, and Sadie and Max all arrived. They are all beautiful, and I've got my Basset wall started. I put them on the sliding pantry door in the kitchen, and every morning I get to see all those wonderful Bassets looking at me. What a great way to start your day!! :D

We received 5 cards today. It has begun. Makes you just want to rush home from work to check the mail.

Snoopy and Vanessa have been crackin the whip with their momma to get their cards done and their tactics have worked. We are mailing this evening.

I hope the out of the country ones make it before Christmas.

Happy St. Nicholas Day to everyone.

Ow dear... Saint Nicholas

I thought that that was only known in Belgium and Holland?

I went over the top with chocolate, marzipan, clementines, oranges ... today :)

I'm putting all of my Cyberhound Christmas cards around my mirror at work. I'm a hairdresser so they get lots of attention. Everyone knows I have Bassets and I keep a few photos on hand ;) but this is a pleasant surprise for everyone. They love it. I'll do this every year, from now on.

Thanks for the great cards. Mine will be in the mail this weekend. I'm a bit behind.

Our mailman commented that Ernest has received more Christmas cards than most of the folks in the neighborhood.

He was very impressed at his popularity.

He received five today. What a lucky duck.

I show each one to the pups (OK, they're three now but hey we still call 'em pups), then my mother-in-law looks at them and oohhs & aahhs over them. Then up they go all over the kitchen. That way we see them all the time. Isn't it grand?! :D

I just love all the cards and so does everybody at my work. I bring them all in to work and show them off there and then bring them home and hang them on my chair rail in the dinning room. Every morning when I get to work my assistant comes in my office and says, "Ok lets see the basset cards"; she's disappointed if I didn’t get any new ones. I just love the poem on Baxter's card, the part about struggling for some space in the bed is so true and Ernest’s picture was a big hit at work. I can't pick a favorite; they’re all so good in their own unique way.

I send my apologies... Jackie's cards are going out tomorrow. I'm a senior in college and exams were a killer this year so I've been too wrapped up in my studies to get the cards ready. I promise they will be out tomorrow and should be everywhere by Christmas.

**lol** Mine are 2 now and I still call 'em "pups" too... they just never seem to grow up *lol* They'll probably always be "pups" to me. :p

Anyhow, we've gotten a couple of the cards that are starting to come through ... thanks so much! The kids are going wild with running to the mailbox after school now (this is our second year being able to participate and they remembered from last year and are so excited about this year).

Unfortunately due to some issues we weren't able to get our cards out as early this year as we were able to last year. BUT they'll be going out soon, though!

Also, the kids are doing some volunteering at a local nursing home and they want to take the cards we get in with them to see the elderly folks they've been visiting.

These card exchanges are wonderful... they seem to always touch so many peoples lives and brighten many days.
