We adopted Linus back in March from a rescue and he has a cherry eye. I recently took him to the vet and he would like to operate on it to fix it. Is it worth it? He said that there would be a chance on it happening again and I just wanted to hear from people who have dealt with it before. It will be about 125-150 to fix, which is not a big deal, but I don't want to have to spend that much money only to have it happen again. Also, he said that if left the way it is, it could cause him problems later on, has this happened to anyone?
Thanks in advance!

We had a cherry eye problem with one field bassetnamed Cherry> She was operated on twice and finally we had the problem removed completely. She has had no problems since and I wopud have to suggest complete removal , not attempting to correct the eyelid.
