Hi Everyone,
Over the weekend I was petting my Basset Maggie when I noticed she was bleeding on her side. At first i couldn't see anything so I got a flashlight for a clearer view. Underneath a piece of matted hair there was a hole that looked like a puncture wound. I cleaned it up, and it didn't seem to bother her. It's now crusted but still looks slightly raw. I speculated if my other Basset may have bitten her, but he's never shown any aggression towards her and is always careful when they play. She's seven years old, and I think that there may have been a fatty lump there which the vet had checked out before and said was fine. I'm taking her to the vet Sat. to have it checked out. Do this fatty deposits ever just fall off or get knocked off? Thanks for your input. Jim
