Breast generally become somewhat swollen during estrus because of the hormonal changes and the tissue is likely more fragile. Maybe this could explain the bruising. Also you said the back 4 nipples-might they be traumatized from banging against her legs when walking/running? You might want to check to see if her breasts are warm or hard to the touch, possibly indicating mastitis. A little early for a false pregnancy but as her seasons seem a bit off so might the time frame. Of course I know you'll check with your vet if your concerned.
bruises around nipples
Bette, who is almost 9 months old now came into heat last month for a short time. (posted previously) Well now I noticed there is a little bit of bruising around her nipples, specifically the 4 nearest to her back end. Anyone know what is causing this? Thanks!

The wierd thingis her breasts are not really swollen, just slightly more pronounced. They don't hang down or anything right now. They do not seem painful to the touch or warm. I will just keep an eye on it, its probably just her body changing, hormones like you said.
