It IS the same surgery they do on humans: :lol: mine is scheduled in February! The risk is the same but with an experienced spinal surgeon Bogie should do well with a fairly quick recovery time. The difference is that I know why I'm doing it and no one will feel worse than I.
I think that YOU, on the other hand, will feel worse than Bogie. It's so rotten when we do the right thing for our babies and we still can't explain to those trusting eyes why in the h**l we're doing it. Spinal surgery is so vastly improved from even a couple of years ago that the little guy should soar, though and I think you'll both feel better pretty quickly.
I will say a prayer for Bogie and you and know that a whole bunch of us are thinking and rooting for you.
