We are so proud of Bogie. Last night he passed the test for his American Kennel Club "Canine Good Citizen". He performed all ten of the tests flawlessly, and we could not be prouder fur parents. The picture quality isn't very good that was taken there, but we just had to share our exciting news.

Thanks for all the congratulations! It wasn't really hard work, just two short 10 to 15 minute practices most days and the class once a week for one hour. I would highly recommend any type of obedience class with yor Bassets, whether it's a AKC Canine Good Citizen Class, a class at Pet Co, Pet Smart, etc. doesn't matter. You really learn how to work with your dog, they get teriffic socialization being around other people and dogs, and its amazing how nice it is to be able to walk him on a loose leash with him by my side with out the pulling. Bogie also listens to us so much more at home now, and now when visitors come he will sit and wait to be petted. Our neighbors and friends can't belive how well mannered he is now. It is really worth the effort and time you put in to have a well behaved Basset.
