I just spent about two hours working on my taxes which, for me, are always complicated. I think my blood pressure skyrocketed, and all serenity was completely lost.

Afterwards, without even thinking about it, I played for a while with Henry. You know, I think my blood pressure has gone down, and I have a miniscule glimmer of spiritual renewal.

Thank you, you little beasty, for helping me get through my taxes.

Yes, our dogs are definitely theraputic. I bring several to work each day and I think it helps keep tempers down and morale high.

One night a while ago, I was feeling rather sad, for no particular reason. I laid down on the floor, and both Bo and Duke ( :( ), were thrilled that I came down to their level. I got sniffs and kisses galore, and started to laugh my head off!
You bet these guys can cheer us up/lower blood pressure. Who needs pills when you have bassets around the house? :D

My husband is a tax preparation specialist, so obviously is very busy this time of year. He takes the girls down to the office with him a few days each week and they do the "meet and greet" routine. He says nobody ever complains about having to wait a little while, or how much he charges when they are present. He does one lady every year who calls to make sure the doggies will be there for her appointment, then sits on the floor with them the entire time :) . These dogs have to be special to make even tax return time a positive experience! :D Edited to say he has a veritable shrine to the girls for when they stay home - the wall behind his desk is plastered with pictures. :D
