Dudes! and dudettes! ;)

Sorry, things have been nuts here!

But somehow the storms have navigated around my neck of the woods. The tornado which made nat'l headlines was far to my north, and most of the rest have been to the west and northwest of me ... although there was a tornado just south of me a day or so ago. And supposedly tomorrow we're to expect a massive tornado outbreak.

But I have a shelter! And to think of all the people who were chuckling over my insistence on a tornado shelter.

And things are fine. There's a Red Rumble going on in the front yard between Yogi and the hound grrl - and no, I haven't gotten a camera yet.

And I'm buying another place a little ways from here - no more commuting costs, but we'll still be coming here on the weekends.

It has a doggie door, too - and fences too high for Yogi to jump over.

Thanks for asking, but I've been in tornados my whole life and if anyone knows how to avoid them, it's me.

How are you all, though?

Good Heavens, Biscuit!!!! It took you long enough to answer! I thought you might be somewhere over the rainbow these past weeks... like maybe in Munchkin Land. ;)

It seemed like you were MIA for far too long. You used to be a daily visitor (so did I, too, I guess). One day I poked around a bit and I didn't see any sign of you. Coincidentally, there had been some newsworthy storms in your area so I worried a bit. Coming from itty-bitty RI, where you can cross the whole state in an hour, sometimes I forget that most other states are not like mine (did I say 'most'? I meant ALL  ). 'Your area' is pretty darn huge by comparison. I'm glad all is well.

Moe is still being Moe but with more sleeping hours than waking ones. Tally just had surgery two days ago to remove a lump on her foot (nothing serious, just annoying and expensive) but otherwise she is healthy and keeps Moe going. She's still incredibly bossy but he seems to like having someone telling him what to do... as long as its's not me! ;) He really does listen to her. Is it odd that he only listens to another dog?

I started a new full-time job in November with paid holidays and vacations and real benefits (I haven't had a paid vacation since 1986). Working full-time really cuts into my computer time, not to mention housework time, shopping time, gardening time, friendship time, Moe-and-Tally time, and my personnal favorite (that no longer exists in my life)... ME time! :( I do like my job though. It feels good to be paid for what I do, and to feel appreciated.

Did you ever get a new computer? One with a keyboard with ALL it's keys? :D

No, I'm still on the ancient Mac, although I did get most of the keys back on the keyboard. :p

And yea, work really cuts into computer time!

The houndie grrl is busy keeping Yogi young, although sometimes he has to cry UNCLE!!! But he absolutely adores her, and he's still got a lot of get up and go, despite getting older. The vet even pointed out that he's starting to get a little grey. !. He's also starting to get a little chunky, although he's mostly still just a solid mass of muscle.

I can't wait for him to see his new home. I know Bailey will love it because she loves sleeping on the porch --- and I can actually trust her out there - she *never* leaves, so she gets to stay out all night. Her new home has a beautiful back porch with a doggie door, so she'll be able to come in and graze a bit before going back out to sleep.

Yogi, however - even though the fence is too tall for him to jump it - I'm afraid he might be too big to get through the doggie door. This should prove to be an amusing source of annoyance for him.

All in all, things have just been really, really busy. They should calm down after I get moved (12 days!!), so I expect I'll have more time to haunt Cyberhound.

Maybe I'll even get a new camera so you all can finally see the houndie grrl. She's just a little love.

Yay, Linda! Glad to see you back.
Terry, you're right, those of us in the tiny Northeast states (I'm in Massachusetts) forget that even if it happened in the same state it can still be 300 miles away.
Yeah, this full-time employment definitely cuts into computer time, and more importantly, FRANCIS time!
