BHCA?????

Did anyone get their pre- Nationals edition of the Tally-Ho? I think I'm usually the last to get it but was just wondering. Also while I'm on the topic of BHCA, are there going to be multiple candidates for any of the officer's positions? That was another reason why I wanted my Tally-Ho so I could see who was running for office. Shouldn't we be getting ballots pretty soon?

If you're thinking I don't have a clue as to what's going on in BHCA, your absoutely right.

Hi Barbara,
No prenationals issue. here, either. I did get a letter from the write-in candidates raising all sorts of issues with what the board had done. But, I'm not active enough to tell if the Board had really done wrong, or not, so I don't know what to do as far as voting goes. Anybody have more information>

My copy hasn't come either.

Some are claiming that the present BHCA Board of Directors is trying to make changes in the club's by-laws without going through the correct process. Those who are members should receive a set of ballots, one for Nationals judges and the other for officers, in the mail. I've had mine for several weeks. Along with the ballots are the proposed by-law changes and the statements for some of those who are running for office. I think others had their statements printed in the last Tallo-Ho.

BTW --- The article in Tally-Ho about the "Miracle Girl" is about my basset hound.
I haven't gotten my Sept/Oct issue yet. I figure it should come soon. Did get my ballot and the 2007 judges selection a couple of weeks ago. I also got emails and snailmail on the issue of the board changing the by-laws with only six board members making the decisions. At the bottom of the page it says "just say no" to the proposed bylaw changes but we weren't given the option to vote on that with this packet received. Maybe it comes up at the annual meeting? Anyone know?

Well I found my ballot under a pile of mail.

Now I'm trying to figure out where to mark my X. I notice that some candidates are nominated by the nominating committee and others by peition. But I notice one of candidates for director says in his bio, "nominated by petition," yet under his name at the top says nominated. Can anyone make this clearer or is it an error.

I thought there were supose to be so many directors from each region, so why are all? the directors from the East? Or is this just a recent additon to the by-laws?

Well there a couple of places where I know I'll put my [X] but quite a few are up in the air.

Sharon, in most cases I don't know who to vote for either. Althougjh I usually have no problem with the judges. I suspect we're not going to hear much on this forum. Politics, you know?

Sounds like they need someone to pull things together- wish I knew who would best accomplish that task.

Hey I did get my Tally-Ho. I thought the bassets were especially nice this year. :) :) :)
