There is a Basset Hound Club of America Hunt Test (all AKC registered Bassets can enter, intact or altered) in Carlisle , Pa. May 2nd and a fun field trial the next day. There will be a representative from the AKC at the test as we are trying to get it approved and sanctioned by the AKC. Motel 6 in Carlisle is cheap.
