Sad news on the site today so thought I would post some good news. I have had Beau about 10 days now and he is doing great. He has put on some weight and his skin that was so dry and flaky is now so much better. I wouldn't describe his coat as shiny but much better. He usually kept his head down all the time but since I have been ding daily body messages on him (and a new orthopedic bed) he has been holding his head up more and moves easily. He still is afraid of Sabian and Pearly but they give him room and don't interfear.

The funniest thing happened last night. I was asleep and I woke up to Sabian on top of me trying to wake me up. I kept trying to ignore him but he kept it up. Finally I got up to follow him to see what was sooooo important. He took me to the family room when Beau was looking scared and lost. Beau must have left my room and got lost. I didn't have any lights on and his vision is poor anyway. I was so proud of Sabian! Beau was very glad to see me and he followed me back to my room and laid back on his bed. Sabe hopped up in my bed and went right back to sleep. That made my day! yvonne

I've read about stories like this. That really tickles my heart. That is so sweet, I swear it is absolutely amazing how they bond. Glad to hear Beau is doing good.

Beau was just practicing "the look" on you and it worked. You are finally getting trained to be Beau's mommy. What a cute story.

That story warms my heart! These hounds of ours sure are amazing, especially the ones that have been through so much.
Thanks for sharing!
