Bad-Dogitis

4741 Views 20 Replies 15 Participants Last post by  Wworm
We've been having a case of bad-dogitis around here today from the tri-color trouble twins (also known as Rosco and Breezy). So far today, they've shredded a sticky sheet lint roller, and small cardboard box, a pair of my socks and planned and executed a "snack" run to the kitty box room. All this during the brief moments when my back was turned . If anyone would be willing to trade me a couple of two year olds for a couple of bassets, I could use the break right now.

i don't know how you do it-- i can barely keep track of ONE much less THREE! and yeah, those tri-colors sure are trouble....

(Worm: 'hey......')
Smili and Bessi have no idea what you are talking about....nope no clue.....completely oblivious!
Wow, yeah one is plenty for me.. He is able to jump on my bed now, too, so now I have to find another hiding spot for any valuables laying on it. How do you manage? GOSH! that's crazy..
Hank is the only one that rips, shreds, tears or endangers anything.
Our 2 other dogs don't do any of that nonsense
Sorry, Worm, but your mom is right; you tri-colors are trouble with a capital "T".

Wow, Hank, your nose sure made up for losing your sight! LOL!

Whatever you say, Bessi & Smili's dad, whatever you say...
I have to say that they do test my sanity. Of course it didn't help that Rosco started off my morning by sneaking up on Our bed and then puked all over the comforter. So far Layla has been the only good one out of the three (she's also the only non tri-color we have). Maybe I should just stick to two color bassets from now on....
That was Winston (yes, he's tricolored) last Saturday! Shredded the aluminum cover over the vent in the dining room, played in his poop (this lead to a bath), and raised hades in Petsmart when he was getting his nails trimmed. I wanted to sell him to gypsies that day!
oh no! LOL it's one of those days. one of those days for me usually does start with barff, then food stealing, and always tearing something important up!

my experience would be just the oposite. It is more likely Twins vs single dog
What ever are you all talking about I just raised 8 to the age of 14 weeks and none of them act like that.In their new homes it has been reported that all of them are perfect ladies and gentelmen, unless of course someone is lying to me:)))))

hmmm, sounds like I need to come to you for my next basset then! Flash is a lil hell raiser....and it doesn't help that he chases the cats around (then of course the cats jump higher and knock MORE options down for flash to chew). Maybe the cats are the evil ones? I mean, if I didn't own a cat, there wouldn't be any "kitty treats" for flash to long for. Now I will have to think which is the biggest problem child, the dog or the cats!
Mine has a blue foot right now. He found the one ink pen in the house that isn't 6 feet above the ground.

Hey! Annie resembles that remark ;)

it is a well documentent fact that cats are the work of the devil and pure evil.
CATS, of course!!
they are evil-- haven't you read Jowls of Fury and how the cats took over?

also, CatherineM, how about a picture of that blue foot? it sounds pretty kewl!

Catherine..the other day mine had a purple mouth, and two purple feet...he found a stamp i forgot i had (it came from a kids meal i ate in australia LOL it was a stamp of an echidna! i wanted that stamp!) I also now have 3 or so bleached/purple spots on my carpet....i'm actually glad we rent. When we own, we're NOT having carpet *lol*
My sweet angelic lil tri-colored (black, brown, & white, no blue or purple) got in trouble at doggie daycare this week. Seems little miss longback stood up on her hind legs, opened the gate latch & wiggled between said gate that was also bungee corded shut. The lure of another dog's food was much too great. The worker said it was the funniest thing she's ever seen & heard. She heard the click of the latch & a bunch of grunting and turned to see her as she squeezed in-between.
Us Tricolors are not bad, just very smart...you know those ones that gets into trouble because we get so bored with all the common stuff that we makes are own fun;).....

Ma says I am worst than a 2 yr old (and I am only 10 months) so that PROVES I am a genius:D
