Anyone going to the North Texas shuffle?

We have never been and were thinking of attending this year. We were thinking of bringing both Sami and Jake -but weren't sure how things were set up if that was a good idea. It's about a 5 hour drive- Jake is an excellent traveler but Sami whines a bit. Sami is very good in public though- Jake is most of the time- Sometimes he has to let others know he's the boss dog by barking at them but settles quickly for my husband. He's learned much better leash manners so we wouldn't be fighting him the whole time. Just can't decide... Wendy
