I just LOOOVE creative people! Especially ones who are also fanatics of bassets!! I'll buy it for my granddaughter, who always checks out cyberhound when she visits. A basset slave in training. :D

"Lunchbox" has got to be one of the best names I've ever heard for a basset. :D :D I can't wait to tell my basset owning veterinarian, who keeps a list of great dog/cat names, about this one.

Welcome to Cyberhound and Congrats on the book.

How cool is that! I had nothing to do at work today so I started a short story about how I acquired my babies. When I was younger I used to write short stories all the time but then went to college for a short while and an instructor there ruined any further thoughts of writing again. I can't wait to get your book. Latley, I have thought of starting a different kind of basset collection other than the actual dog :D .

At this point I'm not sure how you will be able to get hold of it--it will be released in the US and Canada in October. We haven't made any foreign rights deals yet, but that's a possibility. Most likely you will be able to get it through Amazon.com or Amazon.com.ca this fall.

I had two bassets when I was a kid. The first one, Herbie, was pretty smart, though a bit stubborn and independent (a basset trait for sure). Alice, our second one, had the IQ of celery, but she was beautiful and we loved her anyway.

Lunchbox is "nothing but bone between the ears" until the aliens get hold of him. They help bring out his inner genius...

That looks too adorable. I hope you sell zillions of copies. And for the record, my basset Lucille is sweet and beautiful and not too bright. Agnes is also sweet and beautiful in a less-obvious way but probably holds the basset equivalent of a Ph.D. from the SHK (school of hard knocks). In my various meetings with bassets, it seems about 50-50 on smarts. But they are all smarter than labs!!! (No offense to any lab wannabes on the board of course--my favorite nephew is a yellow lab.)

One of my favorites is "The Dog Who Had Kittens." I've lost count of the number of times I've read that one to my kids. The drawings are priceless.

The IQ of celery. Do you have a patent on that or may I please borrow it I would never use it on my goofy basset but I know a whole bunch of 2 leggers I would use the term on. Congratulations, I'll be looking for your book.

Thanks for the info Brian.

Please let us all know when the book comes for sale.

Oh, by the way...... I am owned by four Bassets. 3 are VERY smart. But I am sorry to say that Ludvig fits the Sellery-IQ. But he is a really lovable and bouncy Basset.
