My daughter and her boyfriend got a new puppy, his name is Buddy. Buddy is a Walker Coonhound, I never heard of this breed, he looks a lot like my Max but will be much taller. He is a sweetheart and gets along great with Max & Sadie, he keeps them busy.

What a cutie!

He is a very handsome looking boy!! :) Looks like he is a shorter eared and thinner boned basset hound. I have never seen a Walker Coonhound before, but I have seen Black and Tan Coonhounds, there is a couple in our neighborhood.
What do you know....a real Walk'in **** Dog!
He is soooo cute. Welcome Buddy to the hounds!

Great howls and wonderful baying..

Miss Daisy and her driver, Fritz

PS Does Buddy bay like a basset?

He has only barked a few times and that's when he has been playing with Max because Max is always barking when he is running and playing. My daughter said he never barks at home, only when he's here playing with Max, other then that he hardly makes a sound, I'm sure that will change.
How adorable! Long legs seem so odd to me now after living with bassets... his sure are cute!

We adopted Miss Daisy when she was six years old (about a year ago). For the first 6-8 weeks she didn't make a sound. Then one day the neighbor's cat went by our fence...wow, did she ever sound off! Even now, very seldom does she bark or bay unless I bay at her first (I'm getting pretty good). Nearly every day, Miss Daisy and I have a "talk". I am glad she doesn't over do it but there is no better sound than a good bay!
Good howling and baying to you all,
Miss Daisy and her driver, Fritz
I love coonhounds! The name of the breed is a Treeing Walker Coonhound. Take care all, Belinda.
Occasionally one comes to the park that Francis and I terrorize daily. A very sweet female named Jackie Daniels (what else?)
