This is Rupert aged 6

Rupert was in the Pound at 6 months old and we adopted him from the Rescue that got him out of it.

This is Dudley who is nearly 4.

We adopted Dudley when he was 11 months old.We were his fourth home:eek:

This is Patience who is three.

We got her at 13 months as a private rehome.

Beautiful!!! Thanks soo much for sharing pictures! Those are some lucky dogs for sure :)
What gorgeous dogs; thanks for sharing their pictures and stories.

I just don't understand why/how people can give these dogs up.
Hi Vonny if my memory serves me right , I believe you got a couple of your hounds from many tears rescue, is that right.

Why did Dudley have so many homes? What's he like now? They are lovely looking hounds and I especially like Dudley.

You are right:)

Rupert came from Many Tears and we also had Precious from there but we lost her two years ago:wub:

Dudley is a very full on typical Basset Boy:lol:
I think that his previous homes just did not realise what type of home a young Basset needed.
They are all beautiful dogs but I have to say that my favorite is Dudley. I like the ones that are mostly black.

I'm with you - I'm drawn to the ones that are mostly black. If I could ever bring myself to get another one - that's what I would want.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful pups...:D

Such beautiful hounds and so lucky to have found such a good home. Do they all like to swim or do they just wade in the water?

Looks like they’re having a blast. When we take ours up to our other house in WI – Lucy our other basset likes to swim. But… With her being 75lbs we put a doggie life vest on her – without it she’s like a rock that sinks to the bottom.
