Am I right in saying that for their age they have exceptionally long ears? I love the head profile of the one climbing the box.

When they go to their homes will their Mum (Esa) go through a sort of grieving period ?

The one in picture 4 has no front legs!!! What happened to them?! Lol. Jk. But they're exceptionally cute. Very sweet looking.

I think he tucked his legs under him,it does look funny. They have correct ear sets which is why the ears look exceptionally long. Esa isn't going to care when they leave, she hardly has anything to do with them now.She considers them a pain in her butt they get the good puppy food.

I sent photos to the judge and he thinks the blk girl is 1st pick so I don't know if I will get to keep her.

Oh yeah ,no doubt I will.I'll miss the little monsters.I spend as much time as I can with them now because it won't be too long before they are gone. It turns out the co-owner of Esa cannot take puppy right now so I still have a male and female to home yet. We'll see how it goes.

Nice pics!

Just want to ask; do basset puppies don't have long ears until a certain time for them to grow longer? or their ears are already long since born?

Basset ears are short when they are born, but as they grow up to about 12 weeks old the ears elongate. The ears are suppose to look like they are set on the neck slightly below the eye.Ears above that point are a high set ear and not the ideal.

I know they are almost a year old ,right.I can't believe I'm planning a breeding for July, but Esa has recovered fine from her c-section ,Jen is waiting for another puppy,so no reason to wait longer I may want a male from this litter,we'll see.
