A lot of that photo and how big he is, would depend on how big his owner is. However, IF he is 100 lbs, that's huge - and I thought our Frankie was a big hound .... 35 kg (you do the conversion to lbs but I'd think that's about 70- ish?)

dexter and lulu a few year ago

Had a couple of my "kids" come in for grooming today. Lulu (tri) is a normal sized basset. Then there's Dexter (red). 17" and 95 lbs - not fat. I have no idea what happened there, I've never produced anything that big before. Fortunately he's a big loveable goof. .

Maybe she is a small basset!!? Or a little smaller than 'normal' (whatever that is as the only criteria in the American Breed Standard is height at withers). And he's a little bigger than normal ......... Devil's avocate me
