Default Looking to Get A New Basset

I'm looking to adopt another basset puppy. I live in East TN. How would you go about getting a new puppy? Do you know any breeders in the general area? Would like to keep it under $600.

Any help would be great!

Can't think of anybody I'd recommend at that price.

Why not go to the American BHC which carries a list of breeders, by State. Recommendations are difficult (especially off PM!!) because like with any relationship, not everybody gets along with everybody and this is one that does need to work as you may well need first-hand advice/help through the first months/years.

What I would say is never buy from a Pet Shop or online (other than an initial contact). You must see mum with her puppies, meet the breeders face to face, see how they rear their stock and check adults (for temperament).
