This page provides information on locating basset hound breeders and rescue groups devoted to basset hounds. The list of breeders has been based upon the list of breeder/advertisers in The Bugler, supplemented by major breeders in the Basset Hound Club of America's breeder's directory. I have made every effort to include only "serious" breeders of basset hounds, but the fact that a breeder appears on the list is no guarantee in and of itself of quality. (Similarly, I may well have left out some excellent breeders through some oversight.) Please ask lots of questions of your breeder or rescuer before you bring your new basset hound home, and be aware that any reputable breeder is going to be asking lots of questions of you!
