misbehaved basset

My friend has a basset who will be one next month. She also has three kids and a boston terrier, who is hyper. The basset has adopted the behavior of their family. She's hyper, barks all day, and chews their furniture at times. She's crate-trained, where she sleeps at night. Is there anyone in WV or nearby who'd consider this baby girl?

That is ashame. But I've seen it many times. I can't help you place her but they should consider rescue if nothing else. Good Luck

Thanks for the "luck." I really feel for this puppy and her owners. She's a good girl, I just believe she's not in the best situation. Unfortunately, my home of 2 kids and a basset baby wouldn't be much better

Just noticed you're from Pennsylvania. We're in West Virginia. You don't know of anyone nearby willing to take on another, do you?

Suggest contacting BROOD--Basset Rescue of Old Dominion. They cover West Virginia and offer an owner referral service that assists in rehoming dogs, provided certain conditions are met.

You might also try Droopy Basset Rescue...we're in Western Pa and often take hounds from West Va and eastern Ohio
