Hello everyone in the Northern California area--There's currently a male basset, probably between 1 and 2 at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley ( http://www.hssv.org/). He's currently in a foster home, but I ran into a staff member who was very fond of him yesterday, and asked me to put out the word that he's there, and awaiting adoption, and she saw no real negatives. There's a full description of him on the Web Site under adoption--his name is Archie.
