I am just wondering if there is any open dialogue on this forum about rescuing bassetts from kill shelters? There is a beautiful senior lady here in Michigan in one of those shelters so I am wondering if anyone knows who I could contact to rescue her. I would but we already have two dogs and city ordinance states "no more than two dogs", or she would definately be home with us..

Here is a link to the Michigan Basset Rescue page:
http://www.michiganbassetrescue.org/ That's who I would contact. I know the rescue in Georgia rescued 2 hounds that I notified them of, the Michigan one should do the same (I believe most rescues do). ~Heather P.S. I went ahead and e-mailed the Michigan Basset Rescue president about this hound (of course it wouldn't hurt for other people to do the same) using the link that you provided.
