Thank you for your advice! I have been collaborating with a really great ortho vet in Oregon, and we have been deciding what is best for him. I really trust that she wouldn't recommend a procedure that would be harmful to him. I've been considering the surgery since I adopted him (at 1 years old)... and as his leg has gotten worse I have been leaning more towards corrective surgery (he's now 2.5). With that being said, I've decided to do the surgery. I am waiting three more months because I have summer months off and will be able to stay home with him all day.

Hi! I remember messaging you awhile back regarding your basset hound's angular limb deformity. I have been meeting with a great ortho vet in Eugene, OR (Dr. Csiszer from Oregon Veterinary Referral) about Sammy's leg because it's been progressively getting worse. When I adopted him he was 1 years old and his deformity was apparent, now he is 2.5 and it's becoming much more turned out, knuckled over, and sort of clicking or buckling as he walks (causing him to trip)...

Any advice? Leaning towards corrective surgery. Thanks so much <3
