Hi, thanks for your reply, I have a few questions about the after care of the surgery... How long did it take yours to heal? Was olive able to walk or did she need constant care? Only I'm worried about work and if I need to take time off! Was it the growth plate with olive to? The vet said the xray showed the joint was the problem as the shorter bone was pulling it out of place!
Thanks for your help, I'm one worried basset owner at the mo as I've read so many things saying not to have surgery however the vet said it was necessary, the orthopaedic vet said it needed to be done and my cousin who is also a vet suggested it was for the best!

I was looking at your pictures of Olive and noticed that she has the same heart shaped coloring on her head as my girl pickle. I wonder how common this pattern is?

Oh, I'm sorry :/ I shouldn't have assumed anything. Well, he was a beautiful boy and you were sure lucky to call him yours :] I'm hoping to get a buddy for Olive once we're back in the States and I'm going to be looking for one with Bubba's coloring. I think it's just beautiful!

Unfortunately Bubba didn't live long enough to do a whole lot .We were working on getting his Champion title when he was diagnosed with cancer he had just turned 3,he never made it to 4. He was quite a dog in the ring though. Thanks for the nice comment.
