Can you imagine

Pitbull vs. Porcupine..... A Pitbull decided he would battle a Porcupine in back of his house. Being both brave and stupid, he ultimately learned the hard way that you can't always win, no matter how tough you are... The vet sedated the dog, and then removed a total of 1,347 quills. The dog survived, and hopefully learned a valuable lesson....... Don't mess with Porcupines!

OMG!

Yeah when I worked for the SPCA in Red Deer (Alberta, Canada) we used to treat a lot of dogs (and occational cats) for run-ins with porcupines ... the porcupines generally won ... But I don't think I ever saw one quite like that! ... Wow.

I pulled out a lot of quills when I was a vet tech - but that is unbelievable. I can't imagine how much it must have hurt the pup - or how much time it took to pull them all out!

And I've been told those barbs don't come out easy either.

That was one determined pup! Let's hope he learned his lesson.

God bless him! Can you imagine being his owner? Once I would have got over the shock... how would I lift him to the car? WOW!
