What do you mean! Has the orienteering started again?
Aroooooooooooooooooooooo

This is the map covering the opening posts, or check points.
The posts are 5, marked A-E. The route we followed is marked
with red, and I've written explanations on the map for the interested:

The starting point, one of the oldest houses in the area, from around 1650.
One of the main routes to Oslo passed by, and it was used by coachmen to
get something to drink and eat on their way to the capitol with timber.

All right, we've found the first check point - where's the next?

We also met this superdog in the forest. Her name is Tibra and she knocks
down trees for a treat.

That's the fifth and last check point, can we go home now?

Two tired basset butts, happy to be home after this seasons first orienteering!

Yeah! We can go orienteering with Emma and Doris again. I love your tales each year.

Tell Emma & Doris how lucky they are to do this. And have a great time.

It looks like the ladies had a wonderful time. The pictures are are so neat, and it's such fun to be able to join in the orienteering expedition with you!! I bet they snoozed away after getting home.

Yea! I'm so happy for you that it's that time of year again! Looks like Emma and Doris have found themselves a real fun time with muddy feet to mess up your wood floors. But those steps look steeper each year.

Am looking forward to more of your adventures.

Great photos and story, as always! How much distance do you cover on an average hike?
