Question

Can you believe that we don't have ANY treats/cookies for our dog, and we first get him tomorrow.
I have been planning on finding out from you guys the best ones to get. And now it is almost last minute. Our breeder has told us about the bones she gives her bassets, but what we need are a few good quality favorites we can get at the pet store tomorrow. Oh.......does anyone use spa quality dog cologne at all?
We can't believe that he is actually going to be here tomorrow..............Im guessing it might be a long night and day tomorrow, as we only get him at 9pm our time.
Ill make sure to send pics on Monday.

Thanks guys

It depends on the purpose of the treats.

!. an occasional treat or high reward for a particular behavior quality is immaterial. It is used sparingly so will not effect over all diet what is immportant is it is something the dog real likes alot. There is no way of nowing without trial and error

2. routine treats and training. Often the best course of action is to ruduce the dogs food by 1/3 to 1/2 keep the extra kibble exsessable. Use this for treats and training. Like house breaking, sit etc. Solve too issue associate with treates. !. overfeeding and to upsetting a balanced diet.

3. Ode de basset is a fine cologne all by it self. Any other it just likely to clash,

For treats we use the Old Mother Hubbard brand dog cookies, mini size, and their "BITZ" which are tiny bite size for training treats. For chewable bones we use the "Bully sticks", spendier, but they do not come apart in chunks like the rawhide chews. We had to pull several of those rawhide chunks from Bogie's throat as he was choking on the pieces he would chomp off and try to swallow.
.
Bogie and his favorite "Bully Stick".
