What do you mean? A race through the forest? Why?

I'll rather sit here smelling the flowers, like Ferdinand.

Well, I'll race - since the 1. prize is dinner tonight!

Hey! Wait for me!

There you see - I'm almost as fast as a speeding bullet

At least when the dinner is at stake

Nice with a drink of water afterwards

Those are super cute photos. What cute hounds.!!! How old are they? So i see they do good without a leash, they seem to be sticking with you.
Thanks for showing your pics. :P

Do you ever worry they might wander off Steinar?

When my girls go to the dog park they typically stay close to me, unless they smell treats on someone else. Then they get very basset stubborn.

Great pics!

Never underestimate Emma. She has the eye of the tiger. The look of eagles. A lot of drool. I love those two.

I've tried to get rid of them for years,
but they still run fast enough to cope
with me

No, they do fine in the forest, but I don't trust
them near traffic or people. But honest, I walk
faster than they run, so if they don't run in each
direction, I can always catch them.

Oh!! Another wonderful adventure starring Doris and Emma. They are really enjoying the Spring like weather and less snow it seems. I love the photo of the twosome running along. They look so happy.
I had to laugh when you said you walk faster than they run, because it sounded like Bubba. We could let Bubba have more freedom, he was not speedy, and we always felt we could catch him. Bogie on the other hand is a speeding bullet, and there is no way we could catch him if he decided to take off. He is always leashed.

I SO missed seeing your beautiful girls Steinar! Thanks for posting! I too would never let my 2 off leash. Rusty looks slow but boy can he run. Stickers is like lightning!!!! When she hoofs it in the yard it actually sounds like a horse going by!!
