Finally, she`s here! Eleven weeks old today. She`s such a precious baby, and her hobbies are sleeping, eating, pooping, biting and being beautiful! We love her very much, even the old and suspicious cat seems to like her ( and he HATES dogs!)

If any of you have some great advice we don`t know about, we`d be happy to hear them! I have really read up on the basset breed, but there`s always some things that you can only learn by doing.

Ruby was 11 weeks old when we brought her home from the breeder and she was such a looooong cutie-patootie.

Enjoy your basset. Time really does fly.

I've also experienced that my cat liked bassets better than
other breeds, especially those croaching, staring borders.

Congratulations, it looks like a very pretty dog. I love the
markings. And remember, they get less clumsy by time, though
they seem to have sudden relapses every now and then.

What a beautiful puppy! And it's a red and white. Good luck and don't forget to keep the ears clean and the nails cut! And go for lots of long sniffs/walks! Belinda.

What a beautiful little girl. When she is old enough I would suggest enrolling her in puppy classes. It's great socialization for her, and you both will learn so much. She will be a much better behaved Basset as a result, and it's nice to have expert opinions on behavior issues that will crop up. Enjoy your little one, they do grow up fast.
