We weighed the hounds this morning and they both have gained, Max is now 42 pounds and Sadie is 61 pounds. That's a 12 pound gain for Max and 11 pounds for Sadie since November when we last weighed them. I don't think either one of them looks fat; Sadie has really fill out but doesn't look fat. I would think Sadie would start to slow down in her weight gain soon or she will be fat. Max hasn't even started to fill out yet; I think his weight is still due to the growth in height and length.

Just remarking on this on another thread. Seems quite a lot although I'm no expert. Toby is 50pounds but light boned imo. He is 51/2 now. Hoping he doesn't gain any more. Hard to tell the correct weight for bassets as the bone structure seems to vary so much.
