Molly has a few spots on her belly where her hair looks like its balding a little.

Perhaps rug burn?

Is this normal?

If she were mine, I would definitely take her to the vets. It could be something minor, but it could also be ring worm or mange- only the vet can tell you for sure-

Well, its not red, and she never itches it...

But perhaps I should just take her in anyway.

We have a 9 year old chocolate lab who is always indoors and she has bald spots on her tummy and her "elbows".

Our last hound Ceasar had a bald pink area on his belly. I brought it up to the vet because I was concerning and when she said it was rug burn I laughed so hard. I knew it was true because Ceasar was very low to the ground and spent alot of time indoors on the carpet.

Could well be carpet burn! But if it gets worse - there are a number of conditions which could cause it - like hypothyroidism so get it checked out by a V.E.T!
