We weighed the hounds yesterday, Max is up to 30 pounds & Sadie is now 50.

In this corner, in the light weight division of bassetdom, at age 8, weighing in at 50-51 pounds, is the one and only (drum roll please......)

How old is Max? My 2 hit 30 lbs between 3-4 months old. They both are now pushing 60 lbs at 2 years old.

Last Saturday we visited the kids Vet's new office, open house party!! This place is awesome!! Huge and has the latest equipment!! Stickers weighs 45.8 pounds and Rusty weighed in at 50.2!!

Here they are at the new place with some of the staff!

Max will be 5 months the end of November.

Hmmm....I wonder if Jackie is a light weight then. She just turned six months last week and she is 29 pounds. Her parents weighed between 50 and 55lbs so I guess she is on target for her age. Jackie and Max could pass for siblings though with their coloring.

Right now with Beau at 6 months, he weighs 45lbs. While at 8 months, Bella weighs 41lbs. Bella's parents were HUGE!, somewhere around 85-90 if I remember correctly. But we don't about Beau's parents since we adopted him.

Many American bred bassets are between 30-35 lbs,
while most European are the double.
Emma is 77 lbs, Doris a bit smaller.
