Question

is anyone flese noticing posts and threads disappearing, only to reappear several hours --- or days --- later?

i posted a new topic on this last night, but it seems to have disappeared --

is it possible Cyberhound is developing its own black hole --- or that it's being overtaken by one?

or are the posts and topics not disappearing for anyone else?

edited to add: it won't let me modify the title (more evidence of a cosmological conspiracy), but it should say "Emerging *Black* Hole," not Blach --- although blach is a pretty good description of how i feel pre-coffee

There is indeed something wrong with the board.

PM's are also disappearing, only to reappear several hours later....

YES!!! I've noticed this too and sent a PM to Barbara...hopefully the mods are aware of the problem.

Heather changed to a new server and is aware of the "black hole" you are experiencing. According to Heather
Quote:
You're actually accessing the boards on the old server (where they're closed) rather than the new server (where they're open), but you're doing it sporadically. This should stop in a day or so, and you'll only access them from the new host.[/b]
We will keep you updated on the situation. We appreciate your patience.

Maybe it had something to do with the planet Mercury's transit across the Sun a couple of days ago? From what I heard on the radio it will not happen again until 2016 so hopefully we're safe for the next 10 years.

I was searching yesterday for a post that I had seen by Beverly Anne and had actually replied to and it was nowhere to be found. I came back on a couple of hours later and there it was. I thought I was losing my mind...glad to hear I'm not!

I've also come on and there haven't been any posts for hours and hours. I don't think its very often that Cyberhound doesn't receive ANY posts for hours at a time.

Glad to hear its being worked on. At least now we know its not us or something wrong with our computers.

I'm a web designer and am such a geek I knew what was happening. *ashamed*

When servers change, it's a nightmare.
