...is the name of my book of basset poetry. (work in progress) Here's a preview of it. Do you recognize the hound, who has mastered THE LOOK so well?

WOW!! Now I can't wait to see the rest. Sandy, you are doing a wonderful job on your poetry book about Bassets. Snickers does indeed have the "Basset look" and a perfect choice for "The Look". I've been wondering how things were going, and AWESOME is the word.

Fabulous! I am totally impressed. I can't wait to see the finished product. Will you be using Sally's flower picture?

You described the basset to a T. But why would anyone want to own one the way you depict them. You told about the worst, not about the best. they do this, they do that...why would you want one.
Just objective ramblerings..but take a moment and ask yourself...if I read that about a dog on the cver, I wouldn't want the negative you?
Be objective. Use that inside the book, but go with what we do in the real world. Start with a positive, say the negative, then end with a positive.
Just a thought......

Be objective. Use the silly opening inside the book, but go with what we do in the real world, what "WE FEEL FOR AND ABOUT OUR BASSETS". Start with a positive, say the negative, then end with a positive.

Marcia. when I get to the poem I had in mind for that picture, it'll be up to my daughter. She's doing the graphics for me now. I do know the pics have to be very high quality, so I hope it'll work. That is the picture that inspired that poem! Will keep you posted...Sandy

OTT...Thank you for your suggestion. Now I'm going to say this with all due repect: Lighten up!!!

I've owned bassets for over 35 years. I happen to see the funny, endearing side of bassets, and that's what my little book is about. The very fact that I write poems about bassets belies the fact that I am a little obsessed about bassets.
The point of the book is to showcase my poems, which are not meant to be taken seriously. Anyone who has owned bassets for any length of time will appreciate them, I think. (I hope) :P I am not trying to sell anyone on Bassets...

I think you are new on here, so welcome to the site from me, Bo and Moose. (my hounds) Keep posting, and we LOOOOVE pictures. Can't wait to see pics of your hound...

Sandy

Patti is out of town this weekend so I know she'll be commenting on her girl on the cover when she returns.

Way to go Sandy!
