We did our usual - sit out on the front steps with José & pass out candy. The kids really love José, although I have to hold his leash tight when they come because he is so darn happy to see them! Here are the various stages of Josés acceptance of his costume...
Okay this isn't too bad ![]() Getting a little bored with this... ![]() I've had enough!

José kept his knife on almost the whole hour & a half. He was so enthralled when kids were coming up the walk that he just sat at attention. He only moved around when there was a lull in the action. I had to hold him so he didnt run over any poor little kids, in all his enthusiasm to kiss everyone.
Here we are all ... I simply put my wig from last-year's Geisha costume on. My husband was an unlikely mix of 1/2 Pale Rider 1/2 Jedi (he had his Star Wars light saber with him). Makes no sense but really it's just an excuse to look goofy, sit outside & have a beer!
