Little Ruby was driving me crazy today!

She was sleeping this afternoon and then woke up and we played with her toys. Then she went back on her bed and fell asleep. So I got on the couch and fell asleep.

Exactly 5 minutes after I fell asleep, she came to the side of the couch and began whining...I petted her and said go to bed. She usually will do this. Did she? Nooooooooo...she walked to her bed and did the three turns and made her bed all lumpy and right when I closed my eyes, she came over to me and was whining.....loudly....in my face.

Up I came and asked if she wants to go out. She barked so we went out in the cool rain. She didn't do one thing but stood there getting soaked while yawning. I got her back in, dried her off, and started playing with her again. She didn't want to play. She yawned and got on her bed.

So I went back to the couch and got all comfy and just when I was falling asleep...guess who was there whining!!

As soon as I sat up, she went over to her bed and plopped down. I watched her until she was literally snoring. So I curled up on the couch. I even got in a different position so she couldn't see my face to see if my eyes were closed or not. Lo and behold a certain little basset came over and stuck her nose in my ear and started licking. I told her to GO TO BED!!!!!

Finally she did. And I was wide awake and she slept. :P

They know. They know exactly what they are doing. They are in total control of these situations.

My guy does something similar if I'm lying on the couch and he wants it.He goes to he door and sniffs, I get up and he double backs and takes my spot.

hehehe I know how that feels. Both actually, the spot stealing AND the trying to sleep part. They are sneaky little monsters!
