Hello-

We recently noticed our dog has missing patches of hair on her ears with a pinkish look. Does anyone know what this may be?

As you can see by the pictures it's mostly on her right ear and partially on her left ear.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Our dachshund's ears started looking a little like that this summer so I took her to the vet. It turned out to be a case of not enough oil in her diet/stress(my husband, her favorite person, was away for several weeks); they gave her some omega oil caps, my husband returned, and it got better- BUT I was afraid it could be mange or a fungal infection so that's why I took her to the vets. I would definitely have your vet take a look- best to nip things in the bud.

What a cute baby!!

Check it out with your vet. The vet should take scrapings of the ares to check for mange. Is is much more common than many realize and there are many different kinds.
