The Basset Lady of Buttercup Lane
I vaccum all day, and I clean all night to rid my home of basset hair I start with the sofa until it's alright and then I get to work on the chair Now on to the kitchen, and it's floor with it's tiles-once so bright and shiny that are covered now with paw prints galore Is it any wonder that I'm so whiny? The bathroom mat, I find, is soaking wet These hounds are just too bold It's not enough their water is fresh It seems it must also be COLD! My windows must be washed and shined for they are are now, with drool, smeared looks like they licked them AFTER they dined Now the neighbours are looking in. Weird! I've seen the looks they give-that are hard Still I say 'hello', and flash a cheery smile as I march with my shovel out into the yard and search carefully for the day's newest pile Yes, I know exactly what they think of me I'm called "The Basset Lady of Buttercup Lane" But I don't really care, because tomorrow, you see My hounds and I... will DO IT ALL AGAIN! Sandy,
go down to the junction and look at the sign, it will say: Buttercup Cres - not Lane! <_< But it's probably hard to rhyme Cres with again... Love the poem, Sandy. We have the hair, nose prints on windows, and paw prints on the ceramic tile here, too.

Love the poem Sandy! You're welcome to come here and do all that at my house. I just walked into the bedroom and it smells like basset! Just finished my cleaning while the queen was snoring on her bed. Not as loud as Emma tho.....
