not unusual because of how kids reacted by becoming hyper themselves which cause the dog to become more so , not less See the links I provided. Wen the dog is hyper you need to be especial slow deliberate and calm in all your movements,.

Welcome Baxter! What a cute name for an adorable pup! My Bentley is four and still going strong. He was a handful as a puppy. We left him unattended for about ten minutes and returned to discover our living room carpet ripped up from the back door to about four feet into the living room! Beware: Puppies move fast! HaHa!
