So I just got my new assignment for the Army and I am so excited. I've been stuck in the southern states for too long (I grew up in the North and love everything about the winter and snow, so I'm definitely missing it)...
Noba and I will be moving to Minnesota this coming summer and after 5 years with not seeing snow, he finally gets to play in it again!!!! I can't wait. He is such a well traveled dog... born in Mississippi, traveled to Washington state for two years, then to Georgia for 5 years and now to Minnesota...lol... he'd have so many stamps in his passport if we needed one to cross state lines!!

Welcome back to the north...Once a snowlover, always a snowlover...am curious on how Noba does in the cooler weather. Anything over 80 degrees and Barney wilts but give him 20 degrees and he's all energy.

Ooohhh... Yea after I posted my reply I realized that's probably what you meant...lol...I'm a northerner borne and raised. The heat and humidity down here is for the birds...lol
As far as how Noba is with snow.....last time he saw it, he loved it. He is piss and vinegar in the cooler temps, so it should be fun for him. Now for his arthritis, the cold might not as be so forgiving. But he's as excited as me!! Plus we will be back with my husband and my other dog, so that'll make it all worth it.

Unfortunately, I thought I was deploying to Afghanistan last November, so my husband and my other dog moved to Washington for the duration of the deployment to be near family. He is living with family, who unfortunately, could not take Noba (he does not at all get along with their dog), so my brother was gonna watch Noba while I was deployed. A month after my husband moved, I found out I wasn't deploying, that I was going recruiting instead. So my husband already had his job transferred and established in Washington and instead of transferring back and then again in a few months to our new duty location, he opted to stay in Washington. And although splitting up the dogs was not the ideal situation, it's worked out not too bad. Noba has been getting a lot of attention and time with me. But I am super excited to be getting the two of them back together and my family whole again!! Couple pics of my Sadie and my Noba

I can testify that even the birds hate the heat and humidity in Louisiana! All spring & summer they perch up on my fence and wait their turn for my birdbath! HaHa!! I'm so glad that you get to be a family together again! Good luck with the move.
