What a wonderful story! I love when senior bassets find a home but it's even better when it's with their former owner.

I didn't see in the article if he took Ginger home with him, just that they were reunited at the shelter? Great story, though!

I read elsewhere that he did in fact take her home with him.

Love the pics that they posted of her, it almost made me tear up just thinking about how happy that sweet girl must have been to see her dad after spending that time away from him and then in the shelter.

It made me cry. She's such a cute thing. I just love old dogs. Not nearly as dramatic but a little like our story with Maddie. We just didn't have her when she was a puppy or that long.
