So starting at about 1030 last night, we had some pretty intense thunderstorms... the kind that set off car alarms and last forever. Well of course, my basset boy being petrified of thunder had to be overly dramatic once the storms started. I swear every 20 minutes last night, he was up whining and pacing the house keeping me awake. Twice he climbed under the bed... a bed of which he can get under unassisted (somehow) but not out of. I have to physically lift one side of the bed (which is solid wood and heavy mind you) and let him out. And at 230 in the morning, this was not fun nor easy. So needless to say, I'm exhausted but still have to be at work. Lazy basset boy is at home on my bed snoring away comfortably as I type this... sheesh, I need to make him get a job...

Ooh poor you both! We had a long night too since Harvey had some food that didn't go so well with his tummy and we were up every hour to take him out.. So I definitely feel for you!!

awww, poor bassets! and poor person. the person's hadda sick day on accounta me before. i kept her up all nite being sick and then that made her too sick to work.

I know the feeling/experience. Jake is terrified of thunder storms. If Jake doesn't sleep NO ONE does! Fortunately, if I tell my boss the hound(s) had me up all night, he understands.
