Tiger Lilly looks kind of wonky in this photo ,mostly because it isn't flat ground, soon I should have one of her stacked up.She is 5 months old now and close to 50 lbs,she is a big girl and a real sweet heart

I would love to give your puppy a good cuddle! Love her face.

There is really something about bassets that just melts your heart no matter what kind of mood you're in.

Thank you all,her linage has many dogs who have a lot of bone ,in person she doesn't look fat, from above her you can see the outline of her ribs, shoulders and everything is in proportion. Her mom is a big girl. She is 5 months old,she probably won't fill out till about a year and a half.

What a pretty baby girl!

Ellie is 6 mo and weighing in between 35-40 lbs, but still looks "skinny" even tho' she is well fed. She has huge paws and I suspect she still has much growing and filling out to do!

Jake is 13 yo. In very good condition, not overweight at all, but weighing in at 65 lbs.

I hate the image folks have that all bassets are fat and lazy. Obviously, they have never owned one!
