We have a Shark Navigator. It's bagless and works great. I read a lot of reviews of it on Amazon, and it seems that people like it just as much as the Dyson, but it costs only half as much.
We've had it for about 2 years now and have been very happy with it. I got a 20% off one item coupon from Bed, Bath, and Beyond and saved a lot of money on it. |

Dyson Animal-- we've had it for years. We used to have a lab and a rhodesian-mix, and the hair was terrible! The Dyson has given us zero trouble, and is in as good of shape as when we got it (7years?).
We also got a Roomba about a year ago. It does an amazingly good job, and we run it when we are gone. It can't get into certain places that are too small (under barstools- which is where there is a lot of hair), but buys us time before we have to do a more thorough cleaning. My hubby is a gadget freak, so it appealed to him. It is actually pretty fun to watch. If it can fit in an area, it works its way into it. The dirt trap can fill relatively quickly with hair, though, so if there is a lot of hair, we need to empty it part-way through. |
