Default Talking bassets!!!!

Hi everyone.

Does any of you hounds out there talk to your hoomins much!!!! I talk alot especially in the mornings, I lie on my back and moan and groan for ages until mummy picks me up.

Yes he talks loads.....I'm not sure what he is telling me but even when I'm in the bathroom he is still lay on his back groaning away. The only Way he will get up is if I'm in the kitchen and he hears is food bag rattling for breakfast hehe. He makes me laugh.

Not only this he does it most of the time like when I'm cooking, or cleaning he talks to me. He does alot of loud aggressive talking when he is chasing his toys around the house.

If I ask him if he wants a wee wee, walkies, diner time... He talks. I think it's fabulous, I've never known a breed of dog to talk so much!

When we have visitors they think he is hilarious.

Anyway the moral of the story is he is very vocal, and nearly breaking into arrrooooooo. He's so special and spoiled though, maybe I spoil him too much xx

Maddie whines and groans and barks and chuffs and growls [at UPS trucks] woofs and even bays on occasion by accident, lol.

Barney has a complete stage act down pat...when he wants a treat...couple of minutes of intense starring and then when nothing happens, the conversation starts...can't really put into words on what it sounds like....nothing I ever heard from a dog before. Believe that I've heard "starving", dog abuse" and "feed me before I die". His vocal range is really incredible.

When I have Eeyore in the car with me and we go to a drive thru, as soon as we are at the window and he sees the person he lets out the most god-awful screams ever. Sounds like I am beating him. He knows all those good food smells are just out of his reach.

I have problems at the bank drive thru. All the girls there adore them and give them milk bones.... they can't get to the driver's window fast enough! They even give me treats to send home when the dogs aren't with me!

I would like to make it illegal for you to talk about Macey on this forum unless you put up an accompanying pic!!! ...please!

About 2 weeks after we got cooper, it was night & my partner & I went to bed. Coop ran out as usual whimpering at the bottom of the blocked off stairs to let us know he was scared & lonely. My partner, in such a gentle voice replied & said to Coop, ''it's ok! Go to bed Cooper'' Well we don't know how (& still laugh about it!) but he waddled on off to his bed huffing & puffing & making the most hilarious little 'talk back' noises under his breath.

Cooper would play in his bed with his toys & the sounds he makes are brilliant! They're especially loud when he's rolled over on his back playing
