Harry completely plundered my vegetable patch last year. I thought I had 'Basset proofed' it, how wrong was I? He'd been sneaking in & ate all my sugar snap peas, 3 baby pumpkins & all my ripe tomatoes (he left the green ones). If this wasn't enough he stole every blackberry off the brambles. I watched him doing this & it was hilarious, he very carefully picked them off with his front teeth avoiding the prickles. After this my husband nicknamed him the 'foraging Basset'. He also insists on sharing apples/pears when we have them.
