I'm not sure if they have waddles in the UK, at least not as I understand them

In North America they are usually fundraising events for Basset Rescue where a whole bunch of Bassets and their owners get together, go for a walk, and have a party.

Not sure how up to date this is, but here is a list of waddles in the US.

We have a waddle in Henderson Nevada which is not on the list. Maybe try a basset club or rescue or get to planning and start your own.

I'm sure a Scottish basset went on a waddle last year. We'd love to do one in the South West, but I can't find any details.

It's a real shame we don't have the Waddles here like they do in US. Here's a site with all the regional clubs - most organise walks and events. Also Basset Hound Welfare (link is there too) have get togethers - I know they had a walk not too long ago in Bolton. E-mail the secretaries to see what's coming up or as Dreamons suggested ask for their help in starting walks in your area.

Have you thought of asking to put up a note/request in your vet's, local pet store or free add paper.

I realise any events they might have could be too far from where you are, but most of the BHC Branches hold regular Walks. There is a Branch in the NW UK, so perhaps if you go onto the BHC Website, check out the names of Secretaries and contact her, she may be able to help? I'd put her name/phone number up but would prefer not to without her permission
