As mentioned on another thread, Harry my male 2 year old Basset is 30.4kg and my female Speckles, also 2 years is 30.6kg (sorry in the UK so answering in kgs).

I remember really wanting to know this when PB was a puppy. Boy they really come in all shapes & sizes. My dainty girl (with her 16 inch neck) weighs a solid 38-40 lbs. She has a nice waist & not much floppy skin besides her waddley neck. On the small side for sure & I say she's fit & trim because she works out.

Claude is 10 months and 50lbs. And I hsve to use a car ramp to get him in the car as he is far too heavy for me to pick up now!

Hi all, I'm new to the forums as well. This has been a great site for a lot of the questions my fiancé and I have had as first time Basset owners. Our Boomer is just over 10 months old and almost 70 pounds. She is not overweight, just a big big girl. Her daddy came from Europe and is almost 80 pounds and her mom from is Ontario. She has been an absolute joy to us and we are hoping to get her a little brother or sister soon!

Hey welcome Rizzo and family! I just joined the forum today but have had a basset for the past 18 years. Fred was 17 and just passed away but I have Oscar now he is 7 months old today and weighs in at 50.4 lbs! He is a big boy! He is very large compared to some other bassets but he is not over weight and loves to run and play. I got him a X-Large pad and crate because even though bassets aren't the tallest they are very long. If making an educated guess on what size of beds and crates you would like for Rizzo I would error on the larger size instead of being to small. Good luck She's a cutie!!
